About Me
Hi my name is Gillian Roslan-Oates
From a very young age I just instinctively loved hair.
I was constantly wanting to create different looks and styles. It intrigued me how people can look completely different with the right creative guidance to transform from a tired and dated style to WOW! So, this was the motivation and the start of my journey
Working in a salon after school, I very quickly developed as a senior stylist working in a prestigious salon in Nantwich, Cheshire. I consistently developed engaging in CPD to ensure that I was always challenging myself to be at the cutting edge of current and emerging trends, which remains my ongoing passion as a highly experienced professional.
Teaching & Judging
When my daughter started high school, i decided it was time for me to embark upon the next stage of my journey as a freelance stylist. Ultimately it was time for me to impart my knowledge and educate and inspire young people who have the same passion that I had all those years ago.
At my first competition, I was amazed and humbled to receive 1st place in my category.
This further motivated me to achieve two assessor qualifications and it was a very proud day when I obtained my teaching degree, all this whilst still maintaining my fantastic client base.
I now work with a number of colleges delivering CPD to both professional staff and students, and I love judging competitions as it reminds me of my own journey.

Awards
In 2017 driven by my previous brides I entered the prestigious Wedding Industry Awards. I was thrilled and humbled by the number of brides that voted for me.
I am very proud of winning this award over 3 consecutive years as my bridal work completely inspires me, there is something so magical about seeing a bride's face light up when I know I have been instrumental in making her feel amazing on her wedding day.
